This summer, the world’s game is coming even closer to home. The United States Men’s National Team has selected the Championship Soccer Stadium at OC Great Park as its official training base in the lead-up to this summer’s World Cup — and that means the road to the world’s biggest stage runs right through our backyard.

The Championship Soccer Stadium is where local fans cheer on Orange County Soccer Club and watch future stars take the field. Now, it will host some of the very best players in the world as they prepare for the sport’s biggest tournament.
